  Dildora’s great knowledge and excitement about sharing her love of Detroit with us made this a special tour. I would encourage anyone with at least a little interest in architecture, restoration, and Detroit history to take this tour.

  We were most fortunate to have Dildora Damisch as our guide, she really brought to life downtown Detroit. As someone truly in love with the city, her quest for knowledge about it made her uniquely qualified for this tour. We simply had no concept of how Detroit has come back from the grave, many buildings narrowly escaping being torn down. Both Michael and I highly recommend her.

  The tour was amazing. We learned so much about the city and it’s history and left the tour feeling so inspired about where the city is going in terms of its future. Dildora was exceptionally informative and provided great stops in the itinerary. Highly recommend for anyone that truly wants to understand the past, present and future of this great American city.

  I went to graduate school at MSU in 1966 in Lansing Michigan. I had the opportunity to visit Detroit at that time and it was bubbling with business. The automobile industry at the top. Since then troubles of all kind came to the USA automobile industry and also to Detroit. Now I'm in the late 70's and wanted to come back and see what happened to the glorious city. I'm surprise to see it is coming back and the beautiful downtown is either kept or restored keeping a memory of the old times and mixing it with modern architecture. Dildora our tour guide knows Detroit like her hands. Congratulations

  My husband and I took this walking tour with Dildora and absolutely loved it! She was an excellent guide, very personable with tons of knowledge about Detroit, both past and present. We started at the incredible Guardian Building and wandered in and out of a great selection of downtown sites while we learned about the history of the city. We were very impressed with all the lovely, restored buildings plus all the art, the murals and the flowers everywhere. We really enjoyed our time there and are grateful to Dildora for answering all our many questions and helping us appreciate this “renewed” Detroit.
